The Professional Rugby Players' Association (PRA) is delighted to announce it has agreed a new representation contract with Team England Rugby LLP to remain the exclusive commercial agent acting on behalf of England's players for the next four years.

The PRA has represented the commercial interests of Team England, the current England EPS playing squad, for the past four years. This includes acting on the players' behalf in all commercial matters, including the negotiation of a new and improved match fee and Image rights deal. The new four year extension means the PRA will continue to act as the England players' exclusive commercial agent until the end of 2012.

PRA CEO, Damian Hopley said: "We are extremely proud to have been re-appointed by the England team for a further four years. The PRA have worked hard on behalf of the squad over this last term, which culminated in securing significantly enhanced terms for the squad. I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to the outgoing Team England executive committee of Danny Grewcock, Ben Kay and Jamie Noon, who have done an outstanding job for their team mates over the years.

"It is imperative in this challenging economic climate that the England team have security and certainty around their commercial programme and our role is to ensure that the players off field commitments match their on field professionalism. We look forward to working closely with the new Team England Executive of George Chuter, Tom Palmer, Pete Richards and captain Steve Borthwick to guarantee that the players can focus on preparing and performing to their full potential at International level, and receive just rewards for their efforts."

Speaking on behalf of the England team, captain Steve Borthwick said, "The PRA have done an excellent job in looking after the players commercial interests over the last four years, and we are confident that we will continue to be represented in a professional and robust manner by the PRA up to and beyond the 2011 Rugby World Cup."
