James Haskell presents awards on behalf of The Lord's Taverners

Date: 31-Oct-08

James Haskell, the England & Wasps Rugby Union star and YLT ambassador, was on hand to present over 200 awards to deserving young people at The Jack Petchey Foundation Awards in central London on Monday 27th October. The awards accompany grants to deserving clubs where children have excelled, or shown application & courage, or displayed great care and community spirit, in a range of positive formative activities such as sport, music, drama, dance, community service, and youth groups.

James appeared on behalf of The Lord's Taverners and we are so grateful that he is able to give such tremendous support to the charity whilst juggling his hectic domestic and international rugby career. James was asked a few questions about his approach to life, training, and his sport. The 600 people in attendance were treated to witty and inspiring responses that left all the award winners eager to get on stage and meet the man wearing the Taverners tie.

Thanks go to James for his efforts on the night and to The Jack Petchey Foundation for staging such a superb event and for their continued support of our charity.
